Jack Heifner’s Vanities, is a three act play whose story centers on the lives and friendship of three Texas cheerleaders starting from high school. The first act is set the day of JFK’s assassination in the girls H.S. locker room. Despite the sad news, the three best friends are more concerned with the possibility of the cancelation of the H.S. pep rally. The second act is placed four years later as the girls have all joined the same sorority at the same college. As they discuss each of their future plans for after graduation they begin to realize just how far apart they have begun to grow from one another. The final act is set ten years later after the girls have lost contact in many ways with one another and after meeting up for a small reunion it is apparent that they no longer have anything in common and that you never really can go home.
